Director, Nrityabharti where 4000 students are trained every year, 35 students have been awarded National Scholarship under his surveillance. Chandan Thakore has pioneered choreographing the otherwise solo/duets dance recital, in group form. He has also experimented blending Uttar Hindustani music with South Indian dance for his choreographies, which is a novel experiment in Bharatanatyam. The language used being Gujarati, Hindi, Sanskrit has helped to make Bharatanatyam popular among the masses.
