District Resource Persons(DRP)
In order to have a wider reach of CCRT’s work and mission a pilot project of District resource Persons(DRPs)/Direct teacher Trainers(DTTs) was launched which yielded the desired results. Under this project, the CCRT trained teachers, doing good and satisfactory work with reference to Cultural Education in their school(s) and neighbouring areas including with the member of the community at large are selected as DRP/DTT. The names of these trained teachers are proposed by the Evaluation Section of the CCRT on the basis of the regular feedback received from them. They are funded by CCRT to organize a short term programme under guidance of district education administrators.
- The following are the objectives of the scheme for District Resource Persons (DPRTs)/DTTs.
- Highlight the need for aesthetic, culture and value oriented education in the short term programmes/ activities so that the future generations are aware of their roots.
- To discuss the importance and also the reviewing of cultural education in schools after ascertaining the feedback from the participants.
- Strengthening an understanding of the diversity of rich cultural heritage to promote right values.
- To chalk out a plan for implementing methodologies and strategies for providing training to other in-service teachers.
- To highlight the importance of local heritage and discuss the plan to preserve it.
