CCRT organised a two days workshop on Collecting Stories under Digital District Repository (DDR) Project of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) in collaboration with District Institute of Education and Training at Bheemunipatnam, Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh from December 23 to 24, 2022

CCRT organised a two days’ workshop on ‘Collecting Stories under Digital District Repository (DDR) Project of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM)’ in collaboration with District Institute of Education and Training at Bheemunipatnam, Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh from December 23 to 24, 2022 in which total 85 in-service school teachers from Andhra Pradesh participated.

 

 

The session started with the recital of Sarva Dharma Prarthana & the workshop was inaugurated by the auspicious – Lighting of the lamp by Chief Guest – Smt. Uma Nanduri, Joint Secretary,  Ministry of Culture,  Govt.of India,  Special Guest – Shri U. Manikyam Naidu, Consultant RC Hyderabad, Shri. Y. Chandrashekar.

The Inaugural address was delivered by the Chief guest – Smt. Uma Nanduri ji, in which  she presented the ‘Digital District Repository’ – Introduction and Methodology for Submitting stories under DDR Project. She Welcomed the teachers to participate in the ‘Digital District Repository Project’. She briefed to teachers about the main theme and Intention of the Programme and responsibility given to CCRT By the Ministry of Culture, in the ‘DDR Project’. She explained the guidelines and statutory procedures to submit a Successful Story in the DDR section in the AKAM website- www.amritmahotsav.nic.in

Thereafter, the  session was conducted on “Sharing the methodology about developing the stories for DDR Project”, by Smt. Soundarya Kaushik, Field Officer. CCRT, followed by a session by Smt. Somisetty Sarala, CCRT Fellow  on, ” the art of writing stories for DDR Project”.

Students of DIET Govt College presented a Tribal Folk dance which was well applauded by all.

Smt. Saroja Gupta, daughter of freedom fighter, an initial parliament member during the British rule “Kolluri Suryam Gupta”, she shared the great contribution of her Father and his Martyr death. She has  inspired the teachers a lot by her motivational talk.

After Lunch break, the  Practical Session on extensive academic exercise of writing stories was organised by Smt. Soundarya Kaushik, Smt. Somisetty Sarala & Shri K.V.S.S Prasad, CCRT’s DRP. There was detailed discussion on the methodologies for scripting the stories under the DDR Project, on how to develop the framework for writing the events of history.

The session concluded with the Singing of National Anthem.
