Project “Sanskriti” at Varanasi
ANNUAL REPORT 2016-17 in Varanasi envisioned by Hon’ble Prime Minister. In his speech in Varanasi on December 25, 2014 he stressed the need for
Project Sanskriti is an initiative of Ministry of Culture in developing/establishing of Interpretation Centers in Education Institutions
developing some schools and colleges in Varanasi in a way that they have mastery over any Iuminary of Varanasi or over any
theme regarding the heritage of Varanasi.
To translate the concept, an exercise was done in collaboration with State Education Department (Varanasi Mandal), 32
educational institutions have been chosen to implement the Pilot Project. Nine organizations of the Ministry of Culture have been
assigned the job to handhold the educational institutions. The CCRT has been shouldering the responsibility for establishing/
developing nine Interpretation Centres in nine different schools located across Varanasi, U.P.
The details of the nine Interpretation Centres are as follows:

A two days meeting was organized by CCRT for all the Principals/Teachers of the Interpretation Centres under Sanskriti Pariyojna,
Varanasi from April 18-19, 2016 at National Gallery Of Modern Arts, New Delhi in which 59 Principals/Teachers took part. In
the meeting, the work & development and the Guidelines about this programme was discussed.
