The Cultural Festival-Virasat-Kamaladevi was organised from December 26 to 30, 2016 at CCRT, New Delhi. The festival
commenced with the delivery of 7th Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay Memorial Lecture (KCML) by Janab Asghar Wajahat titled
Lahore Ni Vekhya O Janmiyai Nai” written by Janab Asghar Wajahat and directed by Janab Jamshed Khan gained immense
appreciation from the audience. On December 28, 2016 Sangeet-Sandhya was organised which featured Sarangi Vadan by
eminent and promising artist, Janab Murad Ali and Hindustani Vocal by Shri Ritesh Mishra and Rajneesh Mishra. Next day
Sangeet-Sandhya featured Violin Vadan by Smt. Anupriya Deotale and Hindustani Vocal by Smt. Sunanda Sharma. During Sham-
E-Ghazal, soulful ghazals were rendered by renowned Janab Ahmed Hussain and Mohammed Hussain on December 30, 2016.

The need for innovative cultural management within the cultural sector as well as conversations around cultural policy, the
creative industries and their possible role in the cultural regeneration of cities amongst other things has become crucially
important in India today.
Under Centrally Sponsored New Plan Scheme, document of the Ministry of Culture for 12th Five Year Plan period, starting
of National Institute of Cultural and Heritage Management (NICHM) had been recognised. The Ministry of Culture took this
initiative by assigning CCRT the task of carrying out this Project/Scheme by making it the Nodel Agency for implementation.
A training programme entitled “Management of Cultural Resources: Trends and Nascent Developments” for the Librarians/
Library Professionals was organised at CCRT heaoqQuarters, New Delhi from June 23 to 28, 2016 in which 47 Librarians/Library
Professionals from 10 different states participated. Another programme was organised for the students of Kalakshetra, Chennai
from July 22 to 26, 2016. 99 students participated in this programme.
In collaboration with Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) CCRT organised a short term Arts Management Workshop for ASI
personnel from November 23-29, 2016 at CCRT, New Delhi. 16 officials participated in this programme.
CCRT organised a two days workshop in collaboration with Centre for Heritage Management (CHM), Ahmedabad University,
Ahmedabad on ‘Case Study Writing’ from December 15-16, 2016 at CHM, Ahmedabad.
CCRT organized a Curatorial Workshop for Museum Curators in collaboration with National Museum and National Museum
Institute, New Delhi from January 18-24, 2017 at CCRT, New Delhi. 15 curators from different parts of the country participated
in this programme.
