Collection of Resources

              ANNUAL REPORT 2016-17  The CCRT collects material on the arts and crafts of the country in the form of audio recordings, slides, photographs,



                      films and written texts in order to enrich the content of the Educational Kit and provide educational material to
                      teacher trainees and other research students on the arts of India.
                      The areas to be documented by CCRT are chosen with a view to create an interest among students in the culture
                      of various regions of the country and develop a sense of appreciation for the diversity and continuity of cultural
                      traditions.

                      The main objectives of CCRT’s documentation team are:
                         •  Production of educational material on various aspects of Indian Culture:
                         •  Educational Kit which includes audio-visual materials and written texts;
                         •  Publications on Cultural Education.

                         •  Setting up of an Archive of Cultural Resources for research scholars;
                         •  Distribution of materials on Cultural Education to schools from where teachers have been trained.
                      1.   CCRT produced a film titled “MY NAME IS eeooW” The film explores the practice of using hums for names
                           in East Khasi Hills district, Meghalaya and is still widely understood by the villagers following this pattern of
                           communicating since time immemorial.
                      2.   Video recording of the lecture by Sh. Rajeev Lochan a renowned artist, former Director, National Gallery of
                           Modern Art, New Delhi on “Contemporary Modern Art” has been done to develop “resources” for use in
                           Distance Learning programme.

                      3.   Refresher Photography workshop on “Creative aspects of Photographic Documentation” was organised by
                           CCRT for 35 participants from 11 states during 8 to 12 August, 2016.

                          •    “7th Smt. Kamaladevi Memorial Lecture” delivered by Prof. Asghar Wajahat

                          •    “Jinne Lahore Ni Vekhya O Janmiyai Nai” Theatrical performance written by Prof. Asghar Wajahat and
                               directed by Janab Jamshed Khan

                          •    “Sarangi Vadan” by Janab Murad Ali

                          •    “Hindustani Vocal” by  Sh. Ritesh Mishra and Shri Rajneesh Mishra (In collaboration with SPIC MACAY)

                          •    “Violin Vadan” by Smt. Anupriya Deotale
                          •    “Hindustani Vocal” by Smt. Sunanda Sharma (In collaboration with SPIC MACAY)

                          •    “Sham-e-Ghazal” rendered by Janab Ahmed Hussain and Mohammed Hussain.
