Better Interaction & Diversification of CCRT Activities

The Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, while finalizing the activities for XIIth Five Year Plan of this organization approved the continuation of the scheme of XIth Five Year Plan that CCRT, in order to diversify its activities and have better interaction with the State Education Department, Should appoint Nodal Officers in the rank of Joint Director/ Dy. Director in the State Department of Education in each State/UT. who should co-ordinate with the CCRT in order to implement its various activities. It has also been approved that the Nodal Officers who are appointed may be paid a token monthly honorarium for discharging the additional responsibilities to be assigned by the CCRT.

Key Responsibilities & Roles

With the programmes undertaken by CCRT such as training, documentation, production of educational material on culture, providing scholarships,etc.
In discussing methodologies for acquainting the teacher and student population about the rich cultural and natural heritage of the country and the role of the youth in the care and conservation of our heritage.
In discussing a variety of activities that should be incorporated in school education which highlight moral,aesthetic and cultural values for the the total development of the personality of the students.
Review of Cultural Education in Schools.
Providing administrative support required from the States/UTs regarding:
Deputation of Teachers (of all levels)
Also provide infrastructural support required for organizing CCRT activities including training programmes.
Appropriate Publicity for the implementation of Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme (CTSSS).
Training of Administrators/Educators.
Listing of various Experts in various fields.
May also submit recommendations and suggestions for future programmes.
Evaluating the follow-up of CCRT activities conducted by trained teachers in their schools neighborhood and districts and facilitate the Evaluation Department of CCR

Nodal Officers play a pivotal role in conservation of heritage and personality development of youth through culture.
