Progress in use of Rajbhasha Hindi in CCRT

In compliance with the Rajbhasha Policy, the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training has taken special steps to achieve the goal. Most of the work in CCRT is done bilingually. Training, Publication, Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme, Accounts and Production Units work bilingually. All forms, notes, reports, guidance books and educational material are bilingual.

CCRT also organizes many Hindi Workshops and other programs for officers/employees so that they can do more work in Hindi and increase the respect for Hindi. Hindi Maah is organized by CCRT every year. A special programme was organized in the year 2019 to commemorate the ‘150th birth anniversary’ of Gandhiji as a special achievement in hindi. A lecture is organized on the subject ‘Constitutional status and importance of Rajbhasha Hindi’ in every CCRT Training Program for teachers participating from different parts of the country. All official programmes related to Rajbhasha have been organized in all the three Regional Centers of CCRT at Udaipur, Hyderabad and Guwahati.

CCRT organized a two days Hindi Workshop on the theme ‘Come together to learn Hindi’ for the artists of North East in the ‘Octav-2019’ from March 26 – 29, 2019 in collaboration with North Central Zone Cultural Center, Prayagraj. A short handbook on ‘Rajbhasha Policy of the Union’ prepared by CCRT was also distributed to teachers for the promotion of Hindi.

The workshop at the Regional Centre, Hyderabad was organized on August 19, 2019 in collaboration with Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, on the theme ‘Gandhi and Hindi’. Various activities/competitions organized in CCRT as ‘Swachhata Week’ from 16 April to 30 April, 2019, ‘International Day of Yoga’ on June 21, 2019 and ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ from 28 October to 2 November, 2019.

– 01 day Hindi workshop at Centre for Cultural Resources and Training on August 19, 2020 on the topic ‘Challenges of Hindi in contemporary period’. 29 CCRT staff members joined online via Microsoft Teams. Apart from this, many educational and cultural programs and activities like ‘Virasat Kamaladevi Utsav’, ‘World Environment Day’, ‘Meri Kala Hi Meri Pehcchan Hai’, etc. recordings of national cultural festivals through Facebook, You tube and online Facebook Live lectures were conducted in simple Hindi language for the promotion of knowledge related to educationist, intellectuals and general public.

On the occasion of Independence Day, an online National Patriotic-based Children’s Poetry Competition was organized by the CCRT in which 5686 poems were written in different languages ​​from different states. Based on the evaluation of the poems, the first prize was given to the Hindi poem. Such events are preparing to connect today’s young generation to the world level and the process of online has proved worthwhile here.

At present, Hindi Pakhwada is being celebrated in CCRT from 14 September to 30 September, 2020. Hindi Pakhwara was inaugurated on 14 September, 2020 at CCRT Complex, Dwarka, New Delhi. On this occasion, the Chairperson of CCRT, Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan, Shri Rishi Kumar Vashist, Director and Chief Guest Shri Laxmishankar Bajpai expressed their eloquence. All the staff of CCRT was also present on the occasion. Chairperson Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan recited two of her poems and shared her ideas about Hindi. She believed that Hindi needs to be taken forward in every field and considering Hindi as a part of culture; it should be used in its behavior. Shri Rishi Kumar Vashist, Director, CCRT read the Hindi Diwas message of Secretary, Ministry of Culture and emphasized that if the work is done in Hindi then there will be no problem and it will keep moving efficiently in its language. Chief guest Shri Laxmi Shankar Vajpayee stressed the presence of Hindi globally and stated that all the important countries of the world have progressed by working in their own language.

The following ‘Rajbhasha Kirti Awards’ were given by the Rajbhasha Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India to the CCRT, Ministry of Culture, Government of India for excellent work in the field of Rajbhasha.
